Life at 18
Hi everyone! It's been quite a while since my last updates. I'm just busy as always. I moved rooms in preparation for moving out this Fall and have been winding down on certain projects at school. So art's been kind of low on the priority list these days. As well as that, I've given my "Art & Identity" lecture/workshop at another LGBTQ+ convention and have been working tirelessly on presentations for my interviews later this week in Los Angeles as a scholar finalist for The Point Foundation! This opportunity would allow me to have a 4 year scholarship, mentor, and travel/speaking/activism opportunities for my work with the LGBTQ+ communit
Late March Updates
Hi all, it's been a while! First off, I opened a shop on etsy with a couple pieces. I'll be updating throughout the year: https://www.etsy.com/shop/artofcaseyhoke?ref=hdr_shop_menu.
Other than that, I'm waiting on a few scholarships and programs and working on a ton of graphic design projects for different organizations and projects I work with. (Hence, less art this month) But I should be starting on a few things this week. It's getting warmer outside too, so I'm more apt to sketch outside.
Have a good week, everyone!

College??!! and Snow Day Laziness
Hi everyone, so uhh... I'm pleased to announce that I'm enrolled in college! I'll be studying for a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture at California Polytechnic Institute of Pomona's College of Environmental Design! The news came much earlier than expected and I've been ecstatic ever since. So, I guess I'll be packing my bags in September. I can't believe I'm going so far away for college, but it's for the best as I'll be close to Disneyland for internship opportunities and networking! Plus, the area is just beautiful and vibrant on its own. And the weather? I can't stand anything under 40, so I'm thrilled with my decision. For
February Updates
Hello all, as always I've been busy in preparing for scholarships, college, and my senior art show. Among that, I've finished a lot of works and have been doing all sorts of other activities. The big news in the past few weeks is that I've received 2 honorable mentions from the regional Scholastic Art and Writing awards and have been published by the Huffington Post on an article I wrote about transgender policy issues in the state of Kentucky. (Read up here!: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/casey-hoke/transgender bathrooms_b_6510862.html). What else, just school in general. No college or scholarship acceptances as of yet, but fingers crossed f
