Description
July 2014
Part of my Structural Identities concentration of works studying the chemical and atomic structures of different subjects through an art platform.
Based on the Ebony Jewelwing damselflies that dwell by the creek behind my house every summer. The chemical structure of chitin is collaged on to convey the compound that holds the damselflies' wings together.
Media: Background- Ink, watercolor, acrylic paint, prismacolor pencil, and acrylic paint on 16 X 20 inch watercolor board
Damselflies- ink, copic marker, and 3-d tape for pop-out effect!
First piece of my senior year in my high school art program! I'm so happy to have shared my progress all of these years. I got this account a few months before I started high school. Thanks to all who have been following, supporting, and inspiring me!

Absolutely gorgeous. Those added shapes in the sky (leaves I'm assuming) really add some definition. ^^
